Tayyab Arain started working in 2017, when he was still a teenager. At that age, he was mostly trying to figure things out as he went along, learning about work, earning money and making his own decisions. He did not have a fixed plan for the years ahead, but the experience gave him an early start in working life.

Born on December 18, 2004, in Layyah, Arain began with freelancing before moving into different business ventures. He learned much of what he knows by dealing with situations himself. Some decisions worked out, while others did not produce the results he had expected.

His early working years also included financial ups and downs. There were periods when things were going well and others when managing money and keeping his work on track became difficult. These situations gave him an early understanding of the uncertainty that can come with working independently and running a business.

When something did not work, Arain says he tried to understand the reason before making another decision. Looking back at a mistake helped him identify what could have been handled differently and what he could take from the experience.

Freelancing gave him an early experience of working independently and taking responsibility for his own choices. Later, his involvement in business ventures brought different challenges, particularly when financial decisions and risk were involved.

Starting work at a young age also taught him that progress is not always steady. There were periods when his work moved forward and others when results were slower than he expected. Over time, he says he learned not to expect every effort to produce an immediate result.

Arain believes young people should not be discouraged when their first attempt does not work. A mistake can show what needs to change, while a setback can give someone a reason to reconsider their approach.

He also believes that comparing personal progress with other people can be unhelpful. Someone else's achievements do not always show the circumstances behind them. Arain says he has found it more useful to concentrate on his own work and goals.

Now 21, Arain continues to work in Layyah while exploring different business opportunities. He says he is still learning and does not consider his career fully planned out.

Looking back at the years since 2017, Arain says both successful decisions and mistakes have shaped his experience. Starting young did not mean having all the answers. It meant learning through actual work, dealing with mistakes and using those lessons when making the next decision.
