Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday termed as “unprofessional and unacceptable” the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Indian security forces.
At least seven passengers were martyred when Indian forces targeted a civil bus in Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir.

This he said while holding a special meeting at Corps Headquarters Rawalpindi to review the situation at the Line of Control.
The focus of the meeting was on Wednesday’s civil bus attack which resulted in martyrdom of innocent passengers.

Deliberate targeting of innocent civilians was unprofessional and unacceptable, the Army Chief observed.
Gen Raheel appreciated the morale of the troops and the most befitting response given by them. Any future violations must also get instant and effective response, he added.
