    President Asif Ali Zardari has extended warm felicitations to President Xi Jinping and the people of China on the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan.

    In his message on the occasion, he said Pakistan-China relations have stood as a remarkable example of enduring friendship and strategic cooperation.

    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Pakistan and China on the historic occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

    In his message on the occasion, he said the people of Pakistan hold the people of China in the highest esteem and affection.

    He said since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 21 May 1951, the friendship between Pakistan and China has steadily evolved into an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Built on mutual trust, sovereign equality and shared aspirations for peace and development, our bilateral relations has continued to grow in strength, substance, and strategic significance, amidst changing regional and global circumstances.

    The Prime Minister said the commitment of the Chinese leadership to strengthen Pakistan-China relations and advance the shared vision of building a closer “Pakistan-China Community of Shared Future in the New Era” is most commendable.

    Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan deeply appreciates China's cooperation with Pakistan in multifaceted fields. He said Pakistan remains firmly committed to the One-China principle and will continue to support China on issues concerning its core interests.

    He said China’s robust support for Pakistan’s socio-economic development and national priorities has played a phenomenal role. He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, has made tremendous contribution towards Pakistan’s infrastructure development, energy security, industrial cooperation, and regional connectivity.

    He said Pakistan remains firmly committed to the high-quality development of CPEC as it enters its next phase, with greater emphasis on industrialization, agriculture, information technology, science and technology, green development, and enhanced people-Centered cooperation.

    The Prime Minister said it is encouraging to witness Pakistan-China cooperation, expanding into new frontiers including digital economy, innovation, space cooperation, education, and cultural exchanges. From the Karakoram Highway to cooperation in outer space, Pakistan-China friendship continues to demonstrate how enduring strategic trust can be translated into meaningful progress and shared prosperity for our peoples.

    Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan highly values the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping and appreciates China’s remarkable achievements in economic development, technological advancement, poverty alleviation and global connectivity.

    The Prime Minister said the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations is not only about remembering the past, it is about shaping the future. He said at a time of increasing global uncertainty and transformation, Pakistan and China remain committed to multilateralism, peaceful coexistence and inclusive development. He said our All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership continues to serve as a positive force for regional stability and international cooperation.

    Meanwhile, State Bank of Pakistan has announced to issue the seventy-five rupees commemorative coin to mark the 75th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

    According to a statement released by the SBP, the coin would be available to the general public from Monday.
