Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Saudi Arabia on Thursday for a brief official visit at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.According to official sources, the prime minister is scheduled to stay in the kingdom for a few hours and will return to Pakistan after holding a meeting with the Saudi crown prince.
Upon arrival at the Royal Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport, the prime minister was received by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Riyadh Ahmed Farooq, Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani, and other diplomatic staff were also present at the airport to welcome him.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are expected to discuss the current regional situation, security developments in the region, and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Officials said the visit reflects Pakistan’s continued engagement in diplomatic efforts in the region and its commitment to playing a constructive role in addressing regional challenges.
