    ISLAMABAD: Police arrested more than 100 suspects, including 27 illegal Afghan nationals, during a large-scale search operation conducted across several areas of the federal capital.

    According to reports, the operation was carried out within the limits of seven police stations in Islamabad as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and curb criminal activity.

    Areas Covered in Operation

    Search operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of:

    Hamak

    Tarnol

    Aabpara

    Bhara Kahu

    Noon

    Koral

    Sangjani

    Extensive Checking

    During the operation 954 individuals were checked, 315 houses were searched and 71 shops and 22 hotels were inspected.

    At police checkpoints, authorities also examined 191 motorcycles and 78 vehicles, while 20 vehicles and motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification.

    Weapons Recovered

    Police said illegal weapons were recovered during the operation. Two criminal suspects, including a proclaimed offender, were also taken into custody.

    Officials said such search operations will continue to ensure law and order and public safety in the capital.
