  • Recruitment of Over 3,000 Constables Approved for Upgraded Federal Constabulary

The federal government has approved the recruitment of 3,229 new constables for the recently upgraded Federal Constabulary (FC) across the country to strengthen national security forces.

This decision marked a significant development following last month's presidential ordinance, which transformed the former Frontier Constabulary into a nationwide federal force.

The government has allocated provincial and regional quotas for the recruitment drive, ensuring broad representation:

    Punjab: 20% quota — 646 constables
    Sindh: 20% quota — 646 constables
    Balochistan: 20% quota — 646 constables
    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 20% quota — 646 constables
Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK): 10% quota — 323 constables
    Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 6% quota — 193 constables
Islamabad Capital Territory: 4% quota — 129 constables
The eligibility criteria for candidates include:

Age limit: 18 to 22 years

Educational requirement: At least second division matric (SSC) or intermediate (FA/FSc) or equivalent

Minimum height for male candidates: 5 feet 10 inches

Minimum height for female candidates: 5 feet 5 inches

Applicants will be required to pass both physical fitness tests and written examinations as part of the recruitment process.
