Pakistani actress Mariyam Nafees has stirred controversy after placing Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir on the same level in the entertainment industry. Her remarks, made during a recent appearance on Tabish Hashmi’s show Hasna Mana Hai, have sparked debate across social media.
During the interview, Tabish asked whether she believed Mahira and Hania held equal standing and talent in showbiz.
Mariyam agreed without hesitation, highlighting several qualities she feels both actresses possess equally—prompting mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.
“Of course, why not? I mean both are globally recognized and widely admired as ‘ superstars’, known for their exceptional talent and beauty, so why not?” she said. “Most importantly, both are representing the country globally,” she added.
Mariyum Nafeess’s abovementioned perspective invited an opinion session in the comment box with many arguing that Hania Aamir is talented actress, undoubtedly, and has quickly gained recognition worldwide through hit projects, but her journey has only just begun.
In contrast, Mahira Khan is a superstar with a list of iconic roles, a solid body of work, and years of consistent struggle and success, including her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.
