Prices of ghee and cooking oil have climbed to their highest levels in the open market, placing additional financial strain on consumers, even as flour prices show a modest decline.
According to market data, first-grade ghee is being sold at Rs590 per kilogram, while cooking oil has reached Rs595 per kilogram.
Second-grade ghee is available at Rs540 per kilogram, whereas third-grade ghee is being sold at Rs470 per kilogram.
In contrast, private companies have reduced the price of flour, offering some relief to households.
he price of a five-kilogram flour bag has dropped by Rs70 to Rs100 in various markets.
At departmental stores, a five-kilogram bag of flour is currently available at Rs790.
However, prices remain slightly higher at smaller retail outlets, where the same bag is being sold for Rs830.
The divergence in prices highlights ongoing fluctuations in essential commodity markets, with consumers continuing to face mixed trends in daily household expenses.
